ROMNEY THE LIAR'S RUNNING MATE: LYIN' RYAN

Wow, Joan Walsh at Salon hit it right on the head in this  article:

 PAUL RYAN'S BRAZEN LIES

Key section:

His most brazen lie accused President Obama of “raiding” Medicare by taking the exact same $716 billion that Ryan and the House GOP notoriously voted to slash.  It was stunning.

But that’s not all. He attacked Obama for failing to keep open a Janesville GM plant that closed under Bush in 2008. He hit him for a credit-rating downgrade that S&P essentially blamed on GOP intransigence.  He claimed that all taxpayers got from the 2009 stimulus was “more debt,” when most got a tax cut (and the stimulus is known to have saved between 1.4 and 3.3 million jobs). He derided the president for walking away from the Simpson Bowles commission deficit-cutting recommendations when Ryan himself,  a commission member, voted against those recommendations.

He blamed Obama for a deficit mostly created by programs he himself voted for  – from two wars, tax cuts, new Medicare benefits and TARP
. [My emphases]

This is now becoming a war for the soul of the country, folks. If Romney and Ryan lie their way into power, the damage to our political system may just be irrevocable. If truth means ANYTHING we have to destroy Willard and Lyin' Ryan.

There is no other choice.

  3. Mitt Romney has campaigned heavily on two claims that fact-checkers have widely ruled false. First, that the President Obama gutted welfare requirements (in reality Obama granted states the flexibility Republican governors asked for). Second, that Obama took $716 billion out of Medicare (in reality, Obama cut spending that was targeted at hospitals and doctors, not beneficiaries). How did leading print and cable news cover the lies? Fox News and the Wall Street Journal were by far the worst, but the rest of the results might surprise you.

  4. Issues on the lies, I don't get it. The GOP would loathe to have their doctors, their teachers, their brokers, their neighbors, their children, etc etc to lie to them, yet they find it perfectly permissible that their GOP leaders base their platform on lies.

They find it perfectly alright that their leaders win a presidential election, an election that will literally change lives, on lies. Don't they realize they will be just as effected as the rest of us by the GOP Platform? Or do they foolishly believe that just because they voted GOP they will be immune to GOP poison?

As soon as that information came to light, why wasn't there a criminal investigation enacted? Where was the outrage? An insidious plot to bring a nation to its knees just to destroy a presidency. Isn't this tantamount to treason? I would have thought someone would have broke this wide open by now.

The definition of treason is the crime of betraying one's country, esp. by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. Based from the information out there concerning this, I would say that Paul Ryan and the other major lawmakers involved were acting in a treasonous manner. Enough for probable cause to start an investigation.

That would be enough to stop their Campaign of Lies and Treachery. Now and forever.
